Learn to say NO

  • Want to live and enjoy the life that you want? Then learn to say yes to only things that matter and say NO to things that don’t. If you can’t say NO, just say, “I’ll think about it.” and let them know later. It’s your precious time, so make it worthwhile.

  • There’s no need to accept all invitations and obligations because most people do it. When you say NO, it sometimes makes people question their values as to if they are doing something wrong. Let them make their own decisions, and you decide for yourself. Give a firm NO, so your friends or family doesn’t try to persuade you again. Say NO to time-consuming emotions of anger, lust, distraction. Say NO to procrastination, negative self-talk, excuses, partying, and unhealthy food every night. Say NO to toxic people and say NO to a bad sleep environment.

  • Don’t do things only because you can. It doesn’t have to be an excellent concrete excuse if you don’t want to do something; maybe you value your alone time, which is enough in itself. Great friends will understand and don’t keep score, so don’t let anyone guilt you into doing something for them. Understand what matters to you and prioritize those tasks.

But that’s just my take. Comment and share yours.
