- Many of us create problems when there are none to begin with. For example, one might think that their partner is cheating on them, which makes them even madder, then drive them away, and thus self-fulfills their own prophecy. Don’t let your fear isolate you, dominate you and become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
- Control your urges and impulses, and don’t lose your self-control when afraid. Be strong and keep a positive mindset. Don’t predict something bad for yourself when you’re sad or angry and then involuntarily act in a way that brings out your bad behavior and gets you the same destructive results you predicted.
- Fear can make people do stupid and crazy things. Be it fear of losing someone, fear of a plane crash, fear of the number 13, or the ultimate fear of death. Don’t let your fear ruin your experiences and cripple your ideas. Be courageous and not stupid, do the thing you fear, and keep doing it. Avoid predicting outcomes you are unsure of, keep your expectations in check, and remember that most things we fear will never happen anyway. That’s how you win over your fear.
But that’s just my take. Comment and share yours.
