- We spend hours on Instagram and other social media comparing our lives to others behind the scenes. That’s where our insecurity kicks in—by comparing to their every post and story. This comparison often results in resentment, not just to others but also ourselves, depriving us of joy.
- There’s no point in measuring ourselves with others. It’s only going to make accepting our situation even more complex and is a recipe for disaster. Most of us lose ambition when we compare ourselves to others, even though it might be a motivation in itself to some. It is great to be ambitious, but only when you want it for the right reasons for yourself.
- There are many great things that we can do and experience instead of concerning ourselves with petty differences regarding money, height, smartness, etc. Remember that you’re unique, you had your challenges, but you will have your successes.
- It’s a fact that we’re all going to die. There’s no point in being sad about it, and we have to accept it. So stop wasting time and energy focusing on other peoples’ lives rather than our own. It’s much better if we utilize it and make a difference.
But that’s just my take. Comment and share yours.
