- We, humans, try to control everything possible. But, still, we’re way less disciplined when it comes down to controlling our minds than our bodies. We don’t allow anyone to push us or physically control us, but we hand over our minds to TV, social media, and what others think of us.
- We text, email and scroll endlessly through social media – whether in a park, at the movies, or while watching TV. We allow algorithms to run our lives and make us think about things we didn’t intend to. It becomes an endless loop that inherently creates us more polarized towards one side of thinking.
- We give up our minds to our relationships, friends, and family. We become obsessed with our personal relationships while we should have just built ourselves up. We forget that when we give up our minds, we give up our freedom.
- So, don’t hand out your mind, time, and attention mindlessly. Instead, put some conscious effort to protect your thoughts and become the owner of your time and attention. Our mind is our best possession. Don’t let anyone play with it and take away its freedom.
But that’s just my take. Comment and share yours.
