The best things in life are simple

  • We sometimes let society dictate what “good,” “the best,” and “wealth” means , what we are supposed to do and what we are supposed to own to be considered respectable.

  • This face cream will make you more attractive and popular among your friends, this car will elevate your status, and smoking tobacco will make you feel like a man. Even though most products, like expensive suits and fancy cars, are considered materialistic and are part of extensive marketing campaigns.

  • The people who chased wealth and acquired the money and status they desired discovered later that it was not quite what they had anticipated. There are individuals who run from one high to another trying to travel the world, experience everything in it, and check off all the things on their list  but still feel unsatisfied.

  • It is not possible to achieve internal peace and happiness based on external factors. As human beings, we thrive on the idea that we matter, that what we do matters, and that we are part of something larger than ourselves.  Accordingly, what we do should have a connection to something greater than ourselves.

  • The real joy in life can be found in the simplest of things , such as waking up to the sunrise, drinking coffee in the morning, sleeping well at night, and listening to the sound of water on the beach. There are certain qualities, such as knowledge, righteousness, and bravery, that are incontrovertibly positive.  It is as simple as having enough time to read these articles for yourself, as well as being in a position to do and live your life according to your preferences.

  • Enjoy whatever is most important to you;  enjoy whatever is before you, be it a simple meal or a coffee. Be grateful for what you have, how you are, and where you are in life right now. Do not chase after things.  The best things in life are simple.

But that’s just my take. Comment and share yours.
