Sword over your head

  • Imagine a sword over your head that symbolizes that something terrible can happen to you, too, at any time. We are all mortal, so we should stop behaving as if we are destined to live forever. This sword dangles over you just like it does over everybody.

  • This sword will fall one day, and this moment could be all that we have. This life can be taken from us at any moment, so we need to use this threat to motivate us to be good, do good, and not fear death itself. We need to be happy for this life and live it fully every single second.

  • Thus, start living but first, forgive yourself, and don’t dwell on negative emotions, hold a grudge or worry about the future. Instead, be there for others, offer help, especially when things are tough , and positively influence others. Would you rather have that sword catch you while you’re in the middle of some selfish act? Or would you prefer it when you are doing good?

But that’s just my take. Comment and share yours
