Begin with the end in mind

  • What do you do if you go to someplace you’ve never been before? You check out the maps and plan out the route, right? You want to see the endpoint and be in more control of your path. You begin with an end in mind.

  • Similarly, define what you’re trying to accomplish, create a mental picture of it, and then physically achieve it. Think about how you’d like something to turn out before you even start and ask yourself why a particular outcome is valuable to you? Knowing precisely what you want to achieve in life will help you reach your goals and tell you when to stop and when you’re getting off track. You’ll know when you should quit, when you have had enough, and you’ll have more clarity.

  • Finding the right direction is not something you see or find; it’s something you create. So, discover your strengths and values, notice what makes you happy and learn to trust your gut. Don’t drive yourself into failure or madness. Instead, reaffirm who you are, put your goals in focus, and move your idea in the real world.

But that’s just my take. Comment and share yours.
