Don't tell your stories

-
There are reasons not to tell stories about your past; it’s boring, annoying, and self-absorbed. We’ve all met people who make everything about themselves. These self-absorbed people don’t make you feel any good, and in the end, everything comes down to them and their achievements. The problem is that their openness is exciting and attractive in the beginning. But, later, it’s like they always prefer to be at the center of attention.
-
They don’t have empathy and make every little thing a competition and might even make you think that they are superior to you. If you believe you are one of these self-serving and somewhat narcissistic, check with your friends and partner. You might feel like you’re dominating the conversation but think about how it makes others feel? They might even feel like they’re losing their sense of self because of your overpowering uncaring demeanor.
-
Focus on others, listen to their stories, and connect with them. Live in what’s real, don’t show off, and don’t create this fantasy bubble about your past accomplishments and affairs.
But that’s just my take. Comment and share yours.
