Source of harm

-
Would you feel bad if someone says something wrong about you and you don’t even know it? We only get offended by words when we associate and attach judgment to them. We get emotional, which creates another response of anger and sadness. But, in the end, it’s always up to us how we choose to react to things.
-
Let’s say someone fought with you? Insulted you? Now, are you going to ruminate on those insults for hours? If someone gets mad at you, it says more about them and their internal struggles and insecurities than it says about you. So maybe you should even listen to them as they might not even be worthy of that opinion. But, if it’s true, then there’s an opportunity to grow.

We might react differently to the same situation at different times of our lives. So, what changed? Our reaction! Our reaction decides whether harm will occur. So, choose not to react. Retain control over yourself, and don’t get carried away. Nothing good comes out of it.
But that’s just my take. Comment and share yours.
