The characteristics of a rational soul

The characteristics of a rational soul

  • We, humans, are driven by emotion. Emotions drive what we eat, what we say, and what we do. Although the majority of our thoughts and feelings are unconscious, we are still capable of rational thought.

  • The hallmark of a rational person is the fact that they don’t let their emotions cloud their judgment.  Someone who checks their reasonings and makes decisions based on intelligent thinking. Someone who is self-aware and is critical of their actions is a rational person. A person who would not be swayed by popular opinion.

  • Do you consider yourself a rational person? Of course, as long as your past doesn’t hold you back. As long as you want to improve your life and plan for your future, you are a rational person. When making a decision, you are rational if you don’t react immediately but instead list the pros and cons.

  • You’re rational if you apologize after an argument when you’re to blame. You’re rational if you want to understand the impact of your decisions and explore the reasons behind them.  If you cultivate indifference toward events beyond your control, you’re rational. Last but not least, you are rational when you put your emotions aside and do what’s right for you and society.

But that’s just my take. Comment and share yours.
