Don't let it get to your head

-
Most of us come from humble beginnings. We had little, did odd jobs, and were content with little. We have overcome hurdles after hurdles to reach where we are now. But somehow, along the way, as we pursued money and success, we lost sight of our humble roots.
-
Money and success shouldn’t blind you to how you started. Success can be a temporary thing, so don’t let it get to your head. Instead, be humble and modest about your accomplishments, share credit with others , and help others. It’ll only remind you that you’re human.
-
Some of us might become complacent and feel certain jobs are beneath our status. Money does that to the best of us. But, keep striving for your goal, and don’t lose your way. It will be easier if it does not matter whether you become rich or not. Therefore, set life goals that can’t be influenced by how much stuff you own.
-
A money-grubbing mind must not lead you astray from your ethical principles. Instead, you should follow your reasoned mind and put the common good ahead of the interests of an individual or group. Sure, it takes time and inconvenience, and often it comes with sacrifices like taxes. Nonetheless, civil rights, rational equality, health, clean air and water, and infrastructure for all are more essential than the needs or benefits of any individual.
But that’s just my take. Comment and share yours.
